Feeling nostalgic with Pool Tag ๐ŸŒŠ, Gameboys ๐Ÿ‘พ and Star Wars Lego ๐Ÿงฑ

Guten Tag Dabblers!

This week is mental health awareness week, and amongst thinking about what that means for me, a couple of themes stood out to me in relation to this whole (newsletter) project;

โœจ Give - Give yourself permission to be terrible at something new. And give my thanks to you for being here, honestly it means a bunch ๐Ÿฅน

โœจ Connect - Celebrate each other, bring people together and create new relationships. And for you to help spread the word by flicking this newsy on to your mates (including those who have started a business around their hobby!) ๐Ÿคœ๐Ÿค›

โœจ Keep learning - the whole dang point is to offer you opportunities to PLAY, to explore, to be curious and DO stuff. Every single thing we do is for experience, thatโ€™s the whole point of life ๐Ÿ’–

โ€‹Peep the themes hereโ€‹
Also, don't know about you, but Sunday felt like the ideal day for life admin/movies/ dishes/booking future activities/generally hibernating? Or maybe I was being a nana and missed stuff- what did you get up to?
On
the flip side, this week also sees us (adults) elbowing kids out the way for a hydroslide takeover, and pining over action figures and comic books (I sense a theme - we love some nostalgia), let's see what else is on the cards...

Our beautiful Botanic Gardens have (probably equally as beautiful) guides guiding guided walking tours every day this month (at 1:30pm (and also through Mona Vale on a few dates, same time)) - worth leaving the house to go and hang out with โ€œWisteria whisperersโ€ (they should totally call themselves that) ๐Ÿ’š

Aloha Dabblers! Welcome the heck to 2026! I feel like I slept/napped/rested/meditated/embroidered the last 3 (4?) weeks, which I'm (surprisingly?) quite OK with. If you don't know me personally (yet), I chose to delete the word โœจshouldโœจ from my vocab, and maaate, it's freeing, tellyawhat. 7/7 would recommend. As well as Turtle-ing (actually, they probably don't do embroidery on account of not having thumbs) I also;๐Ÿ• Walked approx 60km (not in one go)๐Ÿง Made approx. 5kg of trifle (3.9kg for...

Howdy Dabblers! We heard ya - the (g?)rumblings echoed something along the lines of "my mind and body are ready for it to be December, but said body and mind are also actively avoiding Westfield from. now. on.- no exceptions."... So we've maintained the same wide event net, with a wee sprinkling of festiveness, so you can choose to partake if you're feelin' it. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’š A speedy one this week - letโ€™s dive (well, manu) in!
